In the 11th minute Aníbal Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Toltz Paulista defense, Aníbal Moreno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Mineiro. The Toltz Paulista fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Mineiro should have stopped the shot. Vivaldo Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernesto Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Carlos Fernando Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vivaldo Corrêa got free with Giovani Correia in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovani Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Fernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Aníbal Moreno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toltz Paulista's João Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Moreno in the 39th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Cristian Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Corrêa made a kick off. Vivaldo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani Correia having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Erivaldo Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giovani Correia. Tamboata's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erivaldo Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Giovani Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Silvinho Rosado went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Tamboata's Giovani Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Corrêa in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Carlos Fernando Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tamboata's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Fernando Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Mineiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Toltz Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Luís Eduardo Batista. 79 minutes into the game, Laerte Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamboata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Toltz Paulista the free kick. After 79 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tamboata! João Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aníbal Moreno, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Toltz Paulista's Luís Eduardo Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Toltz Paulista getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Luís Eduardo Batista hit a great ball. Carlos Fernando Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. João Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tamboata's goalkeeper Giovani Correia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Toltz Paulista players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
