Spectators: 7267 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hélio Branco got the match started through his kick off. When Amauri Torres fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.C Parnaibense's protests and gave Amauri Torres a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Amauri Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duda Barbosa in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Doni Varela's late challenge caught a S.E. Betteguense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doni Varela helped the player get up and apologised. After 5 played minutes S.C Parnaibense got a freekick which was hit by Doni Varela. Duda Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Diego Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélio Branco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diego Mineiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duda Barbosa's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Hortêncio Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the game, Duda Barbosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Diego Mineiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hélio Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Maia having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vitinho Nogueira during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of S.C Parnaibense booed when S.E. Betteguense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitinho Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amauri Torres hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Hortêncio Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Mineiro having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Duda Barbosa in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Mineiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Hortêncio Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Duda Barbosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Mineiro. S.C Parnaibense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Duda Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. The S.C Parnaibense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. S.E. Betteguense were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duda Barbosa to make the kick off. After 52 minutes S.C Parnaibense's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hortêncio Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. Hélio Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Vicente Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vitinho Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Hortêncio Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the S.E. Betteguense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Doni Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Duda Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Diego Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot by Davi Félix from long distance, 72 minutes into the match, got Diego Mineiro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Duda Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Diego Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Betteguense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duda Barbosa in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Mineiro saved S.C Parnaibense from getting behind. A collision led to S.C Parnaibense getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Doni Varela hit a great ball. Hortêncio Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Diego Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in S.C Parnaibense's zone, Hortêncio Teixeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Mineiro came out of the goal and Hortêncio Teixeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Duda Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Mineiro having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Duda Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The S.C Parnaibense fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S.E. Betteguense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
