The referee showed João Vítor de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 22 played minutes Goiás EC got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor de Queiroz. After a rather tough play, Goiás EC's Carlos Alberto Ferreira got a free kick in the 24th minute. The wind increased when João Vítor de Queiroz made the kick off in the second half. Mauro Jacinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Guerra in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 56th match minute, Goiás EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Senna to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Ramón Valle. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Secco in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mauro Jacinto saved Goiás EC from getting behind. Adrianinho Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor de Queiroz in the 63rd minute of the match. After 66 minutes of play, Corinthians's Nicolas Paes made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Jacinto was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Corinthians getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Alan Cabral hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Silvinho Peres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goiás EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvinho Peres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrianinho Paes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If João Vítor de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Carlos Alberto Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute, Egídio Duarte sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Goiás EC's Mauro Jacinto didn't even have to move. If Ronaldo Secco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute Ronaldo Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauro Jacinto came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Corinthians's Alberto Guerra. But to his dismay, Alberto Guerra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Alberto Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corinthians's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
