Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5465, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alberto Guerra started the match with the kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Secco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evandro Paulista. Olindina FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronaldo Secco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Corinthians's Alberto Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberto Guerra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evandro Paulista having to make a save. Alberto Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alberto Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Olindina FC's goalkeeper Evandro Paulista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Evandro Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Guerra in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute Ronaldo Secco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Secco hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 46thth minute of the game Alberto Guerra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olindina FC's Evandro Paulista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Guga do Valle made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Olindina FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alberto Guerra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Faustão Teles hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. When Alberto Guerra came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Guerra couldn't finish the play. In the 65th match minute, Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Cabral to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Alberto Guerra got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Alberto Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Guga do Valle came free, but Adrianinho Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78th minute Henrique França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Paes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Guga do Valle came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Olindina FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guga do Valle couldn't finish the play. Evandro Paulista was a little too slow when Tomás Alves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-2. Ronaldo Secco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Evandro Paulista made a huge save. After 94 minutes of play, Corinthians's Alberto Guerra made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Evandro Paulista was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Corinthians left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Olindina FC.
