With a couple of smart ball manuevers Clóvis Vides in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enéas Pirani saved galapagos sa from getting behind. If Zé Augusto Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, galapagos sa's José Vítor Viana got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19thth minute of the game Clóvis Vides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but galapagos sa's Enéas Pirani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to galapagos sa getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Erasmo Mello hit a great ball. Clóvis Vides struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Enéas Pirani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cardozo. When Cardozo's Clóvis Vides in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye galapagos sa's goalie prevented a goal. Cardozo's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jano Meira in the 30th minute. After taking down the ball on Cardozo's corner Jano Meira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Enéas Pirani quite easily take care of the ball. The audience was convinced that Clóvis Vides's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enéas Pirani was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After 40 minutes galapagos sa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jano Meira who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Jano Meira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enéas Pirani quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Clóvis Vides had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato de Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Kiko Gonçalves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Enéas Pirani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Enéas Pirani came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Cardozo's Kiko Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Kiko Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Magno de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Renato Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Augusto Pena in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in galapagos sa's zone, Clóvis Vides stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enéas Pirani came out of the goal and Clóvis Vides tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kiko Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Pirani having to interfere. Enéas Pirani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enéas Pirani was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Kiko Gonçalves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kiko Gonçalves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-5. Kiko Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enéas Pirani having to interfere. When Clóvis Vides came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Cardozo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Vides couldn't finish the play. Enéas Pirani was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Kiko Gonçalves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kiko Gonçalves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. In the 93rd minute, Erasmo Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Cardozo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than galapagos sa.
