After 6 played minutes Trinity got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Ortiz. In the 11th minute, Jerônimo dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Telmo Vergílio came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Paulista FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Vergílio couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Telmo Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ediberto Dias. Trinity's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Telmo Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Anderson de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Trinity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Anderson de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Pedro Mangueira having to interfere. Dino Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. José Pedro Mangueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Bueno hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Dino Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trinity's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Pedro Mangueira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Palmeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Pedro Mangueira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Telmo Vergílio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerônimo dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ediberto Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jerônimo dos Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Dias having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Horácio da Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 2-0 became the score in the 55th minute when Telmo Vergílio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. José Pedro Mangueira made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Dino Palmeira sent off a good shot on target. When Dino Palmeira came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Trinity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino Palmeira couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Anderson de Medeiros took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for José Pedro Mangueira to make any attempt to save it. When Anderson de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Trinity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. In the 85th minute Anderson de Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Jerônimo dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telmo Vergílio in the 93rd minute of play forced Trinity's goalkeeper Ediberto Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Trinity's Alessandro Ortiz got a free kick in the 96th minute. Paulista FC's Luiz de Queiroz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 96th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Trinity. Paulista FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
