Bentopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ediberto Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráuzio Travassos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Bentopolis's Dráuzio Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anderson de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Veiga having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when César Carvalho got free with Ediberto Dias in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dráuzio Travassos to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Trinity's Anderson de Medeiros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emerson Veiga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. César Carvalho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ediberto Dias having to make a save. Dráuzio Travassos took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ediberto Dias. Ediberto Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. When Anderson de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Trinity fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anderson de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Bentopolis's zone, Dino Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emerson Veiga came out of the goal and Dino Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ediberto Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dráuzio Travassos in the 76th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Palmeira got free with Emerson Veiga in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Dráuzio Travassos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ediberto Dias. Trinity's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dráuzio Travassos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Carvalho in the 85th minute of play forced Trinity's goalkeeper Ediberto Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dino Palmeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emerson Veiga having to interfere. Ernesto Barral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Emerson Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bentopolis had won after a very even match.
