The supporters of morungaba FC booed when Marmota F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Josué Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Marmota F.C.'s zone, Luiz Eduardo Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flávio Queirós came out of the goal and Luiz Eduardo Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dé Rosado was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Anselmo Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marmota F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldir Rosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Eliézer França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marmota F.C. fully deserved thier win.
