Benevides's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caco Pena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony Pimenta in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Carneiro saved Benevides from getting behind. Wellington Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wellington Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wellington Carneiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 24 minutes into the match, Benevides's goal looked a bit too open when Rony Pimenta came free, but Augusto Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rony Pimenta came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Jacarecoara SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony Pimenta couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Benevides's zone, Pedrão Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Carneiro came out of the goal and Pedrão Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rony Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, Benevides was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. When Telmo Lima came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Benevides fans jumped to their feet. Augusto Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrão Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Rony Pimenta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Augusto Carneiro was relentless in the 44th minute of the game.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Telmo Lima made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Benevides's Enrique Veloso got a free kick in the 56th minute. Benevides's Augusto Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Benevides from getting a goal against them. Caco Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gerson Valadares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Gerson Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Pena in the 79th minute of play. With a little luck, Benevides's Augusto Carneiro got control of the ball when Rony Pimenta tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedrão Barros during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Jacarecoara SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrão Barros to maneuver through the defense. Telmo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Valadares having to interfere. Gerson Valadares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Telmo Lima's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. In the 94th minute of the match, Otávio Cearense tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Augusto Carneiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
