Spectators: 7203 (Terracing: 5404, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcelinho do Nascimento started the match with the kick off. Jacarecoara SS's Gerson Valadares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho do Nascimento in the 9th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Sandro Hoffmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacarecoara SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Savas EC the free kick. Sandro Hoffmann kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Pedrão Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jacarecoara SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Chiquinho Quadros came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Jacarecoara SS's Pedrão Barros. But to his dismay, Pedrão Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute Marcelinho do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Valadares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 38th minute, Rony Pimenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrão Barros in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Chiquinho Quadros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto de Mendonça hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, Rony Pimenta notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Savas EC's Chiquinho Quadros. Chiquinho Quadros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 52 played minutes Jacarecoara SS got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal Nascimento. If Rony Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Pedrão Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chiquinho Quadros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerson Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho do Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacarecoara SS:s Gerson Valadares showed great skill when he stopped Lucas Batista:s penalty. When Marcelinho do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Savas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Savas EC booed when Jacarecoara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Neiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narciso Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelinho do Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Gerson Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narciso Nascimento in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerson Valadares saved Jacarecoara SS from getting behind. When Savas EC's Marcelinho do Nascimento in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jacarecoara SS's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sílvio Luiz Goiano in the 97th minute of play forced Jacarecoara SS's goalkeeper Gerson Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chiquinho Quadros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Jacarecoara SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
