Bernardo Jacinto might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tales Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Jacinto ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Baltazar Arce notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of United Foxes's Tales Teixeira. Tales Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Jacinto in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tales Teixeira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jânio Matos fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored United Foxes's protests and gave Jânio Matos a yellow card for diving instead. Jânio Matos hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Edmílson Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, United Foxes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Leão to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Baltazar Arce's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tales Teixeira was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. João Francisco Ramos's late challenge caught a Rubro Negro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. João Francisco Ramos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, United Foxes's João Francisco Ramos got a free kick in the 66th minute. In the 66th minute, Bernardo Jacinto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Baltazar Arce who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Tales Teixeira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Rubro Negro's Bernardo Jacinto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tales Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tales Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Jacinto in the 92nd minute of play. Simão Montenegro hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Bernardo Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The United Foxes fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Rubro Negro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
