After having played for 41 minutes, Rony Pimenta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacarecoara SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rony Pimenta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Váldson Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrão Barros made a kick off. Carlos Alberto Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrão Barros in the 60th minute of play. Gerson Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laércio Monteiro in the 71st minute of the match. Aníbal Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Váldson Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 84 minutes into the match, Horizonte EC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Barros came free, but Carlos Alberto Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind Horizonte EC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Váldson Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Jacarecoara SS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Horizonte EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
