Spectators: 6150 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 50) Jaraaua's Elói Cabral started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Baltazar Arce elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Geraldo Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernardo Jacinto during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Jaraaua booed when Rubro Negro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Jacinto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Aparecido having to interfere. Juan Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baltazar Arce got free with Dário Aparecido in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elói Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Gaúcho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubens Neto in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Rubro Negro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romeu Cabral to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, Rubro Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Neto came free, but Fernando Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaraaua's Dário Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Jacinto in the 29th minute of play. Dário Aparecido came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rubro Negro's Baltazar Arce. But to his dismay, Baltazar Arce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Dário Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardo Jacinto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 39th minute Rubens Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Jaraaua's goalkeeper Dário Aparecido had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Jacinto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Jacinto in the 46th minute of play forced Jaraaua's goalkeeper Dário Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Bernardo Jacinto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dário Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54th match minute, Rubro Negro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilson Guerra to maneuver through the defense. Rubens Neto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fernando Gaúcho came out and tried to block the shot, but Rubens Neto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 57th minute. Baltazar Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dário Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jaraaua's Ulisses Corrêa got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Baltazar Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dário Aparecido having to interfere. Dário Aparecido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Arce in the 71st minute of play. After having played for 74 minutes, Bernardo Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rubro Negro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 76 played minutes Jaraaua got a freekick which was hit by Natã Dantas. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Bernardo Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rubro Negro's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Aparecido breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Dário Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute Bernardo Jacinto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Jaraaua getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Juan Abreu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltazar Arce in the 88th minute of play forced Jaraaua's goalkeeper Dário Aparecido to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elói Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dário Aparecido showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baltazar Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rubro Negro had played much better football throughout.
