Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) morungaba FC's Eliézer França got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waldir Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elói Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 9th minute Elói Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubens Neto came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Waldir Rosa could save by the left post. Rubens Neto's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Waldir Rosa firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Tomás da Mata came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the morungaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás da Mata couldn't finish the play. Tomás da Mata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute of the match, Elói Cabral tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Waldir Rosa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 27 minutes into the match, morungaba FC's Tomás da Mata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dário Aparecido narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Tomás da Mata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The morungaba FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Cabral in the 30th minute of play forced morungaba FC's goalkeeper Waldir Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Jaraaua's Rubens Neto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldir Rosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, morungaba FC's goalkeeper Waldir Rosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubens Neto. Jaraaua's Wesley Rodrigues shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 38th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Waldir Rosa but with some difficulty. 40 minutes into the match, morungaba FC's goalkeeper Waldir Rosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubens Neto. In the 41st minute, Ulisses Corrêa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Waldir Rosa. The goal made the score 2-1. Waldir Rosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rubens Neto went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elói Cabral to make the kick off. Jaraaua's Dário Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliézer França in the 52nd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Jaraaua got a freekick which was hit by Elói Cabral. Waldir Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardinho Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Waldir Rosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulisses Corrêa went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 68th minute Elói Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dário Aparecido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for morungaba FC. After recieving a nice pass, morungaba FC's Gernando Teles tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Waldir Rosa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elói Cabral went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Jaraaua were the better team. Jaraaua's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
