In the 13thth minute of the game Bernardo Jacinto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BNU FC's Willian de Salles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Baltazar Arce scored 0-1 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willian de Salles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio Coutinho in the 18th minute of the match. Fernando Gaúcho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Célio Coutinho's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. A collision led to Rubro Negro getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Hamílton Silva hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manoel Hermes during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, BNU FC's Manoel Hermes got a free kick in the 30th minute. Bernardo Jacinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willian de Salles having to interfere. The Rubro Negro fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Rubro Negro's Baltazar Arce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.

53 minutes into the match, Baltazar Arce notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of BNU FC's Willian de Salles. Willian de Salles was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Rubro Negro getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. One of BNU FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rubro Negro:s goal. Willian de Salles had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Bernardo Jacinto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Rubro Negro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
