But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Alagoano couldn't finish the play. If Clemente Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 29 minutes into the match, Tropa Elite's goal looked a bit too open when Wanderson Gonçalves came free, but Joel Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clemente Sena made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Cesinha Jacinto sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Wanderson Gonçalves sped through Tropa Elite's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Souto. After some careless play in the Tropa Elite defense, Clemente Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joel Souto. The Tropa Elite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Souto should have stopped the shot. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wanderson Gonçalves to strike the kick off in the second half. Cornos .S.A's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luiz Fabiano Oliveira in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Clemente Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cornos .S.A's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
