Eliézer de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abadia. Sidnei Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Abadia getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Adalberto Arce hit a great ball. 30 minutes into the game, Fausto Tasso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rmac F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abadia the free kick. 29 minutes into the game, one of Rmac F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 31 minutes Rmac F.C.'s goalkeeper Eliézer de Toledo managed, with a little bit of luck, save Daniel Donatello's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. After some careless play in the Rmac F.C. defense, Daniel Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliézer de Toledo. The Rmac F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliézer de Toledo should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Rmac F.C. booed when Abadia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldinho Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rmac F.C.'s zone, Sérgio de Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliézer de Toledo came out of the goal and Sérgio de Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Yuri Maranhense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldinho Zanette in the 53rd minute of play forced Abadia's goalkeeper Yuri Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rmac F.C.'s Osvaldinho Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Abadia's Yuri Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldinho Zanette in the 63rd minute of play. Percy Faria's late challenge caught a Rmac F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy Faria helped the player get up and apologised. Percy Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 82ndth minute of the game Osvaldinho Zanette who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abadia's Yuri Maranhense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Sidnei Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abadia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sidnei Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Abadia's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Zanette came free, but Yuri Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer de Toledo having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Rmac F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Rmac F.C. players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Abadia.
