Diego Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luisinho Ferraz in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Sena saved Cornos .S.A from getting behind. In the 7th minute Celsinho Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Gonçalves in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho Furtado saved New los Angeles from getting behind. Diego Sergipano's late challenge caught a Cornos .S.A's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Sergipano helped the player get up and apologised. After 17 played minutes New los Angeles got a freekick which was hit by Diego Sergipano. New los Angeles's Marcelinho Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Quadros in the 20th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Cornos .S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Netto came free, but Clemente Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clemente Alagoano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clemente Alagoano got free with Marcelinho Furtado in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 42nd match minute, New los Angeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wanderson Gonçalves in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelinho Furtado saved New los Angeles from getting behind. In the 47th minute Gildo Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelinho Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wanderson Gonçalves made a kick off. Marcelinho Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wanderson Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cornos .S.A were furious when Luiz Fabiano Oliveira was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 63rd match minute, New los Angeles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Víktor Souza to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Celsinho Matos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luisinho Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Claudinho Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Clemente Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 82 minutes into the match, Cornos .S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho Netto came free, but Clemente Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute of the match, Celsinho Matos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Clemente Sena was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched New los Angeles eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
