The Tropa Elite fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joel Souto should have stopped the shot. Joel Souto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felippe Souto in the 15th minute. Felippe Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joel Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Joel Souto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 22 minutes into the game, Naldo Tavares lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Joel Souto. Naldo Tavares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Joel Souto came out and tried to block the shot, but Naldo Tavares slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 26th minute. Cesinha Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesinha Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Naldo Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naldo Tavares in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joel Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes in the game, Naldo Tavares fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Joel Souto having to interfere. Joel Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilton Mazza to make the kick off. Naldo Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Tropa Elite's goalkeeper Joel Souto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Guaxima's Naldo Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the match, Guaxima's Felippe Souto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Naldo Tavares succeeded in the game's 93rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-0.
