After 6 played minutes, New los Angeles's Víktor Souza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Joel Souto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in New los Angeles reached it. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Netto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel Souto was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Belmiro Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute of the match Anísio de Senna shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcelinho Furtado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Enio Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute Celsinho Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinho Netto might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Netto ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudinho Netto struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Joel Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New los Angeles. Claudinho Netto might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joel Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Netto ran back to his position shaking his head. Claudinho Netto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Joel Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tropa Elite's Cesinha Jacinto got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilton Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilton Mazza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Souto having to make a save. Belmiro Falcão kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Celsinho Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Souto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, New los Angeles's Silvinho Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 71st minute. Claudinho Netto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Souto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Tropa Elite's Wilton Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wilton Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celsinho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tiaguinho Medeiros was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 92 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Tropa Elite's Tiaguinho Medeiros got a free kick in the 92nd minute. A hard shot 97 in the game by Claudinho Netto from a close distance when the talented Joel Souto managed to make a qualified save. Tropa Elite's players were relieved. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
