To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Rmac F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Alagoano came free, but Eliézer de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Rmac F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cornos .S.A were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wanderson Gonçalves was the one to do the kick off. Cornos .S.A's Wanderson Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Fabiano Oliveira during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Rmac F.C. booed when Cornos .S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rmac F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! If Wanderson Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cornos .S.A's Luciano Quadros got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rmac F.C.'s goalkeeper Eliézer de Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Clemente Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Eliézer de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes, Natanael Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cornos .S.A and the Rmac F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eliézer de Toledo made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Clemente Alagoano sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wanderson Gonçalves got free with Eliézer de Toledo in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Clemente Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer de Toledo having to interfere. Wanderson Gonçalves's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Eliézer de Toledo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 96 minutes into the match, Cornos .S.A's Gildo Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eliézer de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cornos .S.A's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
