Claudinho Netto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederico Cabral having to make a save. After 14 minutes, Luisinho Ferraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New los Angeles and the Golden Warriors players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luisinho Ferraz kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Claudinho Netto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Frederico Cabral, 1-0. Celsinho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luís Paulo Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute Claudinho Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Bezerra in the 45th minute of play forced New los Angeles's goalkeeper Marcelinho Furtado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlinhos Bezerra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But to his dismay, Celsinho Matos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 62 minutes into the match, Luisinho Ferraz notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Golden Warriors's Frederico Cabral. Frederico Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Celsinho Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute, Luís Fernando Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 69 minutes, Celsinho Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New los Angeles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celsinho Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Rafinha Ferraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celsinho Matos in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frederico Cabral saved Golden Warriors from getting behind. If Claudinho Netto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
