Sidnei Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Joel Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tropa Elite's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilton Mazza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Sidnei Seco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tropa Elite's Joel Souto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidnei Seco in the 48th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Souto saved Tropa Elite from getting behind. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Tropa Elite booed when Abadia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidney Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 played minutes, Tropa Elite's Alberto Coelho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yuri Maranhense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tropa Elite reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Abadia's zone, Wilton Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Maranhense came out of the goal and Wilton Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Abadia were victorious despite being under pressure from Tropa Elite for much of the match.
