Wágner Vergílio charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wágner Vergílio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sidnei Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marcelinho Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Claudinho Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Maranhense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Abadia getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Wágner Vergílio hit a great ball. After 32 minutes of play, New los Angeles's Celsinho Matos made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yuri Maranhense was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Celsinho Matos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yuri Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudinho Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abadia's Daniel Donatello shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 42nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcelinho Furtado but with some difficulty. Celsinho Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

53 minutes into the match, Sidnei Seco notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of New los Angeles's Marcelinho Furtado. Marcelinho Furtado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adhemar Sampaio hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Claudinho Netto came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the New los Angeles fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Netto couldn't finish the play. Sérgio de Salles struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Marcelinho Furtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abadia. Diego Sergipano hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Sérgio de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celsinho Matos couldn't finish the play. Sérgio de Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcelinho Furtado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sérgio de Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 minutes, Noel Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the New los Angeles and the Abadia players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to New los Angeles getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Noel Alcântara hit a great ball. With his leg Yuri Maranhense managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when New los Angeles's Celsinho Matos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
