The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eliézer de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Custódio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Cabral having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fernando Trancoso in the 14th minute of play forced Rmac F.C.'s goalkeeper Eliézer de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Paulo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Eliézer de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Golden Warriors's zone, Osvaldinho Zanette stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Cabral came out of the goal and Osvaldinho Zanette tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Osvaldinho Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Golden Warriors's Celso Guedes broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 30 minutes into the game, Luís Paulo Salgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eliézer de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cipriano de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Osvaldinho Zanette recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Golden Warriors's Luís Paulo Salgado in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rmac F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Golden Warriors's Frederico Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Golden Warriors from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Bezerra to make the kick off. After 59 played minutes Carlinhos Bezerra rounded Rmac F.C.'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. With splendid footwork Luís Paulo Salgado arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-4 by the left pole in the game's 63rd minute. If Ricardo Custódio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlinhos Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliézer de Toledo having to interfere. In the 82nd minute, Luís Paulo Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Golden Warriors's Walmir de Barros got a free kick in the 85th minute. If Osvaldinho Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliézer de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlinhos Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Golden Warriors eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
