Spectators: 7248 (Terracing: 5437, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) Romário Medeiros started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Zé Roberto Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Rato F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Roberto Amorim couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Zé Roberto Amorim left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rato F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gildo Sergipano took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Márcio Dionísio. Márcio Dionísio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 25 minutes, Zé Roberto Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rato F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Roberto Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 played minutes, Rato F.C.'s Wesley Paraense shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Márcio Dionísio came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rato F.C. reached it. Rato F.C.'s Franklin Zonta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Medeiros in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute Zé Roberto Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Dionísio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sport Club Z15's goalkeeper Márcio Dionísio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raúl Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Rato F.C. were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Roberto Amorim to make the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sport Club Z15's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wesley Paraense was slow to take the kick. During this time Rato F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led Rato F.C.'s Wesley Paraense to fire away a dangerous shot which Márcio Dionísio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Sport Club Z15's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Amorim came free, but Márcio Dionísio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sport Club Z15's Márcio Dionísio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Bueno in the 59th minute of play. Zézinho Lucas struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Franklin Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Z15. Zézinho Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Franklin Zonta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Sport Club Z15 booed when Rato F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-2 became the score in the 66th minute when Romário Medeiros elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Raúl Bueno hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Romário Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Sport Club Z15 fans jumped to their feet. In the 74th minute, Romário Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rato F.C.'s Wesley Paraense shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Márcio Dionísio but with some difficulty. Romário Medeiros struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Franklin Zonta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Z15. Renato Cardoso kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Zé Roberto Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zé Roberto Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Márcio Dionísio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zézinho Lucas in the 89th minute of play forced Rato F.C.'s goalkeeper Franklin Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes into the game, Rato F.C.'s Gildo Sergipano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Márcio Dionísio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 94 played minutes Rato F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Bueno. Franklin Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romário Medeiros in the 96th minute of play.
