Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Francisco Aguiar made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes in the game, Francisco Aguiar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ciro Meireles having to interfere. Ciro Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Aguiar's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. Raphael Luz in the 7thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ciro Meireles, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Trigo in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Nistelrooy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciro Meireles came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona de Itaquá FC's Raphael Luz. But to his dismay, Raphael Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Válbson Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erik Eger hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Raphael Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ciro Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raphael Luz got free with Ciro Meireles in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barcelona de Itaquá FC's Raphael Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raphael Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Meireles having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Gaivotas da Fiel got a freekick which was hit by Erik Eger. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Trigo in the 47th minute of play forced Barcelona de Itaquá FC's goalkeeper Thiago Nistelrooy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Raphael Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Trigo to make the kick off. When Francisco Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Barcelona de Itaquá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Ciro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Aguiar in the 54th minute of play. Francisco Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciro Meireles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. The supporters of Barcelona de Itaquá FC booed when Gaivotas da Fiel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erik Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Meireles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raphael Luz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Gaivotas da Fiel's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Luz came free, but Ciro Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Luz in the 85th minute of play forced Gaivotas da Fiel's goalkeeper Ciro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Aguiar in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ciro Meireles saved Gaivotas da Fiel from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Raphael Luz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ciro Meireles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raphael Luz in the 90th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Luz in the 92nd minute of play forced Gaivotas da Fiel's goalkeeper Ciro Meireles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gaivotas da Fiel getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Augusto Valadares hit a great ball.
