The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ronaldo Gaúchos short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Paulão Arósio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paulão Arósio was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tiago Miranda. The audience was convinced that Ronaldo Gaúcho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulão Arósio was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Ronaldo Gaúcho got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 1-0 in the right cross in the 14th match minute before Paulão Arósio had time to react. The supporters of Perobal booed when Araborladit SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vitório Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Giovanni Soeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Perobal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 28th match minute, Perobal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséias Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sydney Arantes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Arnaldo Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Perobal's Paulão Arósio threw himself towards the right post 39 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiago Miranda, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Perobal booed when Araborladit SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fábio Loyola didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnaldo Moura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fábio Loyola in the 48th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Arnaldo Moura made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Anderson Toscano sent off a good shot on target. After 58 played minutes Araborladit SC got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Zanette. Alexandre Pitta might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulão Arósio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Pitta ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ronaldo Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Perobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. Paulão Arósio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 78 played minutes Perobal got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldo Gaúcho. Ronaldo Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulão Arósio having to interfere. The Perobal fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Perobal's Ronaldo Gaúcho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Perobal fully deserved thier win.
