Hudson Saldanha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Michel Azevedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Hudson Saldanha in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michel Azevedo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Teodoro Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Azevedo having to interfere. In the 12thth minute of the game Hudson Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poolzão FC's Michel Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Teodoro Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. Teodoro Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Azevedo having to interfere. With a little luck, Poolzão FC's Michel Azevedo got control of the ball when Hudson Saldanha tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Hudson Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Piracanjuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hudson Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The supporters of Team Piracanjuba booed when Poolzão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fernandinho Reis struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Michel Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Piracanjuba. Poolzão FC's Michel Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Saldanha in the 77th minute of play. Ernesto Vieira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Michel Azevedo having to make a save. Hudson Saldanha might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michel Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hudson Saldanha ran back to his position shaking his head. The attack was good, but when Hudson Saldanha in the 81st minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 93 minutes into the game, Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michel Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Team Piracanjuba's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
