Spectators: 7218 (Terracing: 5415, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fiori Figueiredo kicked off to start the match. Filipe da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fiori Figueiredo in the 3rd minute of the match. Arí de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Michel Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michel Azevedo came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by vila nova's Clemente Barreto. But to his dismay, Clemente Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Germano Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Filipe da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí de Toledo's late challenge caught a Poolzão FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arí de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th minute Arí de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michel Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Bertassi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Filipe da Mata made a huge save. Michel Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí de Toledo in the 31st minute of play. Arí de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Azevedo having to interfere. Michel Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arí de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano Bertassi succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 40th playminute. If Fiori Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Germano Bertassi came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Poolzão FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Germano Bertassi couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

A collision led to Poolzão FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Edson da Mata hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, Poolzão FC's goalkeeper Michel Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clemente Barreto. In the 72nd match minute, Poolzão FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson da Mata to maneuver through the defense. Michel Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Clemente Barreto in the 75th minute. The supporters of vila nova booed when Poolzão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Godoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí de Toledo in the 79th minute of play forced Poolzão FC's goalkeeper Michel Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fiori Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Filipe da Mata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edson da Mata might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe da Mata. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edson da Mata ran back to his position shaking his head. vila nova's Filipe da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Bertassi in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Fiori Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germano Bertassi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filipe da Mata having to make a save. The supporters of vila nova booed when Poolzão FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson da Mata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí de Toledo in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
