An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Bastos in the 9th minute of play forced Nightmare FC's goalkeeper Naldo Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Gatinho EC's zone, Giovani de Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Amorim came out of the goal and Giovani de Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute Giovani de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eurico Mello in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernandão Amorim, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Naldo Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Pedro Perez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrão Schmidt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Naldo Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Zé Pedro Perez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Naldo Figueiredo came out of the goal and Pedrão Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fernandão Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fernandão Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani de Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Fernandão Amorim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Eurico Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Fernandão Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Pedro Perez to make the kick off. Germano Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute Giovani de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandão Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giovani de Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Fernandão Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nightmare FC. Fábio Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fábio Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 65th minute, Fábio Neto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gatinho EC's Pedrão Schmidt got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 74 minutes into the match, Gatinho EC's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Mello came free, but Fernandão Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Naldo Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Pedro Perez in the 75th minute of play. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nightmare FC's goalkeeper Naldo Figueiredo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernandão Amorim came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Nightmare FC's Eurico Mello. But to his dismay, Eurico Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Giovani de Azevedo in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandão Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the match, Gatinho EC's goal looked a bit too open when Giovani de Azevedo came free, but Fernandão Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrão Schmidt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Naldo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pedrão Schmidt got free with Naldo Figueiredo in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. For all the effort they put into the match, the Gatinho EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nightmare FC.
