Arí de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Sidnei Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Barreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Arumandupa getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Renatinho Travassos hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, vila nova's Clemente Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sidnei Hoffmann narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Renatinho Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arumandupa's Renatinho Travassos got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Renatinho Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Arumandupa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renatinho Travassos couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Arumandupa getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marcelo Gaspar hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match vila nova got a corner. Arumandupa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Renato Madureira ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Arumandupa's goalie and right to Armandinho Vergílio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Arumandupa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal.

The wind increased when Arí de Toledo made the kick off in the second half. If Renatinho Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arí de Toledo succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Arumandupa's Sidnei Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí de Toledo in the 60th minute of play. When Arí de Toledo came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the vila nova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arí de Toledo couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Arí de Toledo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sidnei Hoffmann was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Sidnei Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Clemente Barreto's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arí de Toledo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sidnei Hoffmann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Arumandupa's goal looked a bit too open when Arí de Toledo came free, but Sidnei Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nestor do Valle fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arumandupa's protests and gave Nestor do Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute, Nestor do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in vila nova's zone, Renatinho Travassos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe da Mata came out of the goal and Renatinho Travassos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidnei Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arí de Toledo in the 92nd minute of the match. Arí de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Sidnei Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. vila nova's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
