If Flavinho Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavinho Veloso in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Figueiredo saved Nightmare FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvinho Dionísio in the 15th minute of play forced Nightmare FC's goalkeeper Naldo Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Veloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Andrézinho da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelsinho Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani de Azevedo in the 24th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Eurico Mello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nightmare FC's zone, Andrézinho da Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Figueiredo came out of the goal and Andrézinho da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Naldo Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrézinho da Silveira in the 36th minute of the match. Nelsinho Pitta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovani de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Nightmare FC's Germano Teles got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giovani de Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Flavinho Veloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Nightmare FC got a freekick which was hit by Waldir de Castro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andrézinho da Silveira got free with Naldo Figueiredo in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Nightmare FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Waldir de Castro hit a great ball. Castelhano's Andrézinho da Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Castelhano's Flavinho Veloso in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nightmare FC's goalie prevented a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Nightmare FC's goalkeeper Naldo Figueiredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrézinho da Silveira. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani de Azevedo in the 81st minute of play forced Castelhano's goalkeeper Nelsinho Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castelhano.
