Hudson Saldanha started the match with the kick off. Teodoro Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Figueiredo having to interfere. Teodoro Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naldo Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. When Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nightmare FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nightmare FC's zone, Hudson Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Figueiredo came out of the goal and Hudson Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ernesto Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes, Team Piracanjuba's Afonsinho de Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Naldo Figueiredo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Team Piracanjuba reached it. Hudson Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Naldo Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Team Piracanjuba. In the 17th minute, Teodoro Alagoano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Naldo Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hudson Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After some careless play in the Nightmare FC defense, Teodoro Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Figueiredo. The Nightmare FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Figueiredo should have stopped the shot. Teodoro Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Naldo Figueiredo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Team Piracanjuba booed when Nightmare FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodoro Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Naldo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Ernesto Vieira made a precise shot to the right of Naldo Figueiredo. Nightmare FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Fernandinho Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Figueiredo having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Ernesto Vieira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Naldo Figueiredo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Teodoro Alagoano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Team Piracanjuba's supporters rose to their feet, but Teodoro Alagoano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Naldo Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hudson Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Naldo Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovani de Azevedo in the 46th minute of play forced Team Piracanjuba's goalkeeper Durval Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovani de Azevedo to make the kick off. Naldo Figueiredo came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha. But to his dismay, Hudson Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Nightmare FC's Naldo Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Nightmare FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Nightmare FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Teodoro Trevisan hit a great ball. Durval Madureira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Mello in the 60th minute of play. When Team Piracanjuba's Hudson Saldanha in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nightmare FC's goalie prevented a goal. Naldo Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hudson Saldanha in the 68th minute of play. Fernandinho Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Franklin Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandrinho Arantes hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Ernesto Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nightmare FC's Naldo Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Alagoano in the 80th minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Fernandinho Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Piracanjuba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandinho Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hudson Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Figueiredo having to interfere. In the 88th minute Teodoro Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute Hudson Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Nightmare FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Team Piracanjuba were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
