In the 7th minute, Claudinho Campidelis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 8th minute, Lenílson Trigo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campelo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lenílson Trigo in the 17th minute of play forced Cotinguiba AD's goalkeeper Rafa Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Claudinho Campidelis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th match minute, Cotinguiba AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Rocha to maneuver through the defense. When Alan Carioca was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. Lenílson Trigo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Rafa Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Geovanni Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campelo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geovanni Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafa Marinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Renato Severo made the kick off in the second half. Matías Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Manfredo Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Lenílson Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Campelo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cotinguiba AD the free kick. A collision led to Campelo FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Cotinguiba AD's Rafa Marinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Cotinguiba AD from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute, Cotinguiba AD's Felippe Neves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Felippe Neves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Cotinguiba AD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Felippe Neves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 88th match minute, Cotinguiba AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felippe Neves to maneuver through the defense. 89 minutes into the match, Cotinguiba AD's goalkeeper Rafa Marinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeu de Barros. Rafa Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lenílson Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Pedro Paulo Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Campelo FC's Tadeu de Barros shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 95th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rafa Marinho but with some difficulty.
