The supporters of Taireta booed when Chambivas SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Quintal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramón Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 26 minutes, Umberto Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chambivas SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umberto Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27thth minute of the game Ramón Damião who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chambivas SC's Faustão Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Baltazar Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinei Souto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Cavalcante having to interfere. Ramiro Ferreira hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the match, Ramón Damião notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Chambivas SC's Faustão Cavalcante. Faustão Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ramón Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 46 minutes into the match, Taireta's Ramón Damião sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustão Cavalcante narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Chambivas SC's Cipriano Quintal got a free kick in the 46th minute. Faustão Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half Taireta were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramón Damião was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ramón Damião fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Faustão Cavalcante, passed just outside the right post. After 54 minutes, Dorian Chaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Taireta and the Chambivas SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Taireta got a freekick which was hit by Dorian Chaves. In the 57th minute, Umberto Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramón Damião struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Faustão Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taireta. Richard Secco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Ramón Damião came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Taireta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Damião couldn't finish the play. Claudinei Souto struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Faustão Cavalcante didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taireta. After a rather tough play, Taireta's Rafa Mangueira got a free kick in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, Baltazar Guimarães got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Baltazar Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Taireta's zone, Baltazar Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Campidelis came out of the goal and Baltazar Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Taireta getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Dorian Chaves hit a great ball. Benjamim Fernandez hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taireta's zone, Baltazar Guimarães stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Campidelis came out of the goal and Baltazar Guimarães tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baltazar Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Baltazar Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chambivas SC's Faustão Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramón Damião in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Taireta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chambivas SC.
