When Anderson Veiga was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Betinho Diniz to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Itahum was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Ramón Damião's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulo José Valle was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. Rafa Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo José Valle having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Taireta's Ramón Damião sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulo José Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Taireta fully deserved thier win.
