Baltazar Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ademir de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Cavalcante having to interfere. Ademir de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Faustão Cavalcante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ademir de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão Cavalcante having to interfere. Umberto Gerber took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cido Cabral. Cido Cabral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Chambivas SC's Umberto Gerber sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Baltazar Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baltazar Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Chambivas SC's Faustão Cavalcante got control of the ball when Ademir de Queirós tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half Chambivas SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Alvarenga to make the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Frecheiras FC's goalkeeper Cido Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Guimarães. In the 60th minute Umberto Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cido Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65th minute, Chambivas SC's Umberto Gerber dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Cido Cabral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frecheiras FC were furious when Tadeu Rezende was red carded, 72 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. A collision led to Chambivas SC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Cipriano Quintal hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ademir de Queirós in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustão Cavalcante prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Baltazar Guimarães who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Cido Cabral when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Baltazar Guimarães ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cido Cabral was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. The Frecheiras FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Chambivas SC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
