The Raizinhas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 20thth minute of the game Olívio Rocha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zenit St Petersburg's Décio Ortiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Denílson Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Denílson Meirelles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Raizinhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Percival Trevisan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dagoberto Cardoso went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Percival Trevisan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cléber Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 played minutes Kauan Pinheiro rounded Zenit St Petersburg's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. With a little luck, Zenit St Petersburg's Décio Ortiz got control of the ball when Olívio Rocha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olívio Rocha hit a great ball. Kauan Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chants of Raizinhas echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Zenit St Petersburg had held the ball for most of the match.
