Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Valdo Félix started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Valdo Félix's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luciano Campidelis was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When Régis Freire fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pãfzinho's protests and gave Régis Freire a yellow card for diving instead. Régis Freire hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. After 16th play minutes Ramón Damião shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Fiori Soeiro and just under the crossbar into goal. A throw-in in the 20th minute of the game was made by Benjamim Fernandez with Dorian Chaves as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, Pãfzinho's Fiori Soeiro got control of the ball when Rafa Mangueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafa Mangueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fiori Soeiro having to make a save. Fernandinho Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Dorian Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taireta's supporters rose to their feet, but Dorian Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fiori Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Taireta's Luciano Campidelis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Félix in the 29th minute of play. The throw-in from Flávio Diniz in the 33rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Pãfzinho's Armandinho Nunes. After 35 played minutes Taireta got a freekick which was hit by Benjamim Fernandez. Dorival da Fonseca took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luciano Campidelis. Taireta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th minute, Régis Freire hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute Valdo Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeferson Dias's late challenge caught a Taireta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeferson Dias helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Pãfzinho's Jeferson Dias got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 45th minute of the match Rafa Mangueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fiori Soeiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Armandinho Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pãfzinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taireta the free kick. A collision led to Pãfzinho getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Armandinho Nunes hit a great ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramón Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Taireta's zone, Dorival da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luciano Campidelis came out of the goal and Dorival da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 53rd minute, Valdo Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ramón Damião received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Fiori Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fiori Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Damião in the 64th minute of play. The supporters of Pãfzinho booed when Taireta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdo Félix in the 67th minute of play. Jeferson Dias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Luciano Campidelis made a huge save. After 71 played minutes Pãfzinho got a freekick which was hit by Jeferson Dias. When Eugênio Baptista fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pãfzinho's protests and gave Eugênio Baptista a yellow card for diving instead. Eugênio Baptista hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Taireta's Luciano Campidelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Taireta from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Valdo Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafa Mangueira couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Taireta players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
