Beronhoso Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Ramón Damião scored to the left of an out of position Víktor Zonta, making the score, 1-0. In the 15th match minute, Beronhoso Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurinho Guedes to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Ramón Damião took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Víktor Zonta to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramón Damião got free with Víktor Zonta in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Víktor Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Damião in the 20th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Beronhoso Futebol Clube's Fred Baiano got a free kick in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramón Damião in the 33rd minute of play forced Beronhoso Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Víktor Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Taireta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luciano Campidelis should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramón Damião made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ramón Damião got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Víktor Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. If Luciano Fiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edu Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Claudinei Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Víktor Zonta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Rafa Mangueira took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Víktor Zonta. Víktor Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. Víktor Zonta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramón Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Taireta were the better team. Taireta's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
