Luciano Campidelis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Patrick Schmidt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ramón Damião did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Giuseppe Nunes 22 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Ramón Damião recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Giuseppe Nunes. Ramón Damião showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. After 30 played minutes, Rickers's Angelo Castro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luciano Campidelis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rickers reached it. If Ramón Damião had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute, Flavinho Sanches got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramón Damião made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Veiga in the 53rd minute of play forced Taireta's goalkeeper Luciano Campidelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute, Dorian Chaves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ramón Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot. In the 93rd minute, Claudinei Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Taireta were the better team. Taireta's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
