Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Pedro Luiz Cardozo kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juninho de Almeida in the 11th minute of play forced Caboto's goalkeeper Afonsinho Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes 09 de Julho got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Vale. The supporters of 09 de Julho booed when Caboto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, 09 de Julho's Yuri Goiano broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Afonsinho Loureiro was a little too slow when Juninho de Almeida got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. 30 minutes into the game, 09 de Julho's Washington França nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Afonsinho Loureiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Juninho de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. 09 de Julho's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho de Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonsinho Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juninho de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the 09 de Julho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho de Almeida couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juninho de Almeida made a kick off. After 58 played minutes Caboto got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Sergipano. 59 minutes into the match, Washington França notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Caboto's Afonsinho Loureiro. Afonsinho Loureiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Afonsinho Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Washington França in the 64th minute of the match. Afonsinho Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juninho de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Rubinho Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Alagoano having to interfere. The supporters of 09 de Julho booed when Caboto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rogério Vinhas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Goiano's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Afonsinho Loureiro on his right side and into the goal. 76 minutes into the game it was 6-0. Washington França's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonsinho Loureiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. If Juninho de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 minutes of play, 09 de Julho's Washington França made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Afonsinho Loureiro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th match minute, 09 de Julho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho de Almeida to maneuver through the defense.
