Açougue Santa Maria's Angelo Sotero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Washington França in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, 09 de Julho's Conrado Carvalho got a free kick in the 40th minute. Marcel Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Humberto Alagoano having to interfere. Humberto Alagoano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luo Ang Cheng in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luo Ang Cheng stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Washington França got free with Angelo Sotero in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
