Naldo Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Paulo Cavalcante in the 4th minute of the match. Licio FC's Claudinei Bueno couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 8th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Canuma SC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaltino Saraiva in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Naldo Miranda saved Canuma SC from getting behind. Orlando Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After 13 minutes of play, Canuma SC's Juninho Nascimento made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Canuma SC's Juninho Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute, Magno Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Naldo Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Gerber, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 2-0 became the score in the 27th minute when Magno Gaspar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the game, Felipe Prado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Canuma SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Licio FC the free kick. In the 36th minute, Felipe Prado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes had been played when some careless play by Canuma SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claudinei Bueno was slow to take the kick. During this time Licio FC's players had a chance to rest. Claudinei Bueno made a great header on Licio FC's corner, it was just that Canuma SC's Naldo Miranda managed to reach the ball for a save. Isaltino Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Naldo Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Licio FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 44th minute, when Magno Gaspar scored to the left of an out of position Celso Dias, making the score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Celso Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 62nd minute Orlando Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Augusto de Toledo hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Magno Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canuma SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 70 played minutes Licio FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Cavalcante. If Juninho Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Cavalcante kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Magno Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Dias having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Canuma SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Saraiva to maneuver through the defense.
