Luan Reis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Dias having to interfere. If Luan Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Isaltino Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Túlio de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Orlando Gerber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Túlio de Salles, 0-1. Licio FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SE Palmeiras's much stronger midfield.
