With a little luck, Caboto's Afonsinho Loureiro got control of the ball when Juninho Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Luiz Cardozo in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Naldo Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rubinho Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Naldo Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Alessandro Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when William Passos in the 15th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Naldo Miranda's left hand side. After a defensive mix-up in Canuma SC's zone, Rubinho Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Miranda came out of the goal and Rubinho Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Magno Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Juninho Nascimento's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Afonsinho Loureiro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Afonsinho Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juninho Nascimento in the 25th minute. Rubinho Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Naldo Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Caboto's Pedro Luiz Cardozo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Naldo Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rubinho Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Miranda having to interfere. If Magno Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Caboto's Pedro Luiz Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Luiz Cardozo to strike the kick off in the second half. Cauã Ferreira hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Afonsinho Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juninho Nascimento in the 56th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Pedro Luiz Cardozo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Naldo Miranda was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Caboto's Rogério Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Naldo Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Cardozo in the 78th minute of the match. Magno Gaspar took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Afonsinho Loureiro. Afonsinho Loureiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Juninho Nascimento struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Afonsinho Loureiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Canuma SC. If Rubinho Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Canuma SC had won after a very even match.
