After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Nuno Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuiti's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Paraibano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cléberson Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 17th minute, Nuno Paraibano made a precise shot to the right of Cléberson Viana. Cruzeiro MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 22 played minutes Cruzeiro MG got a freekick which was hit by Cássio Quadros. Tiaguinho Arce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Afonso Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Nuno Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 32 minutes into the match, Cruzeiro MG's Ian Messias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Alagoano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tiaguinho Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléberson Viana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Magno Velloso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oscar Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Nuno Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuiti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Tuiti booed when Cruzeiro MG was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuca Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tuiti's Nuno Paraibano got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ian Messias came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Cruzeiro MG fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Messias couldn't finish the play. Nuno Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Cléberson Viana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Samuca Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magno Velloso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Magno Velloso's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Viana was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Nuno Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Magno Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléberson Viana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Magno Velloso's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Marcel Trevisan hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Tuiti players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
