If Evandro Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cássio Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Evandro Linaress short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Afonsinho Loureiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Dudu Pimenta fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caboto's protests and gave Dudu Pimenta a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for SE Palmeiras. Nildo Furlan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Afonsinho Loureiro. 2-0. Rubinho Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Afonsinho Loureiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luan Reis in the 26th minute of the match. Baltazar Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute, Evandro Linares fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Afonsinho Loureiro, passed just outside the right post. After 36 minutes Caboto's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nildo Furlan who took care of the corner kick. Evandro Linares made a great header on SE Palmeiras's corner, it was just that Caboto's Afonsinho Loureiro managed to reach the ball for a save. Afonsinho Loureiro came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by SE Palmeiras's Evandro Linares. But to his dismay, Evandro Linares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Afonsinho Loureiro was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Luan Reis capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luan Reis really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. SE Palmeiras's Túlio de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luiz Cardozo in the 47th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of SE Palmeiras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Caboto:s goal.

The wind increased when Evandro Linares made the kick off in the second half. Afonsinho Loureiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luan Reis went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Lenílson Lira hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 71st minute, Evandro Linares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonsinho Loureiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Afonsinho Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 82 minutes of play, Caboto's Pedro Luiz Cardozo made it 6-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Túlio de Salles was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 85th minute, Hamílton Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alessandro Macedo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. When Nildo Furlan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the SE Palmeiras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo Furlan couldn't finish the play. Marcos Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The supporters of Caboto booed when SE Palmeiras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 100 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caboto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
