Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juninho de Almeida to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luo Ang Cheng in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The supporters of Açougue Santa Maria booed when 09 de Julho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. 09 de Julho's Washington França got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Júlio Félix's late challenge caught a 09 de Julho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Félix helped the player get up and apologised. In the 82nd match minute, Açougue Santa Maria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Félix to maneuver through the defense. The coaching staff of Açougue Santa Maria protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gilberto Loyola had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 88 minutes into the game, one of Açougue Santa Maria:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for 09 de Julho. Yuri Goiano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angelo Sotero. 1-1. If Luo Ang Cheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
